When the Prophet intended to perform 'Umra in the month of Dhul-Qada, the people of Mecca did not let him enter Mecca till he settled the matter with them by promising to stay in it for three days only. When the document of treaty was written, the following was mentioned: 'These are the terms on which Muhammad, Allah's Apostle agreed (to make peace).' They said, "We will not agree to this, for if we believed that you are Allah's Apostle we would not prevent you, but you are Muhammad bin Abdullah." ..

A father and a son were once guests of Imam Ali Bin Abi Taalib. As they arrived, the Imam received them warmly and arranged for their comfortable accommodation. In a room where they were seated, Ali sat opposite to them, engaging them in a friendly conversation.
After the food had been served and eaten, the Imam's servant brought a basin and a pitcher full of water for washing the guest's hands. Ali took the pitcher himself and asked the father to extend his hands so that he could pour the water..

He then told him "go and fight. And don't look back (wala taltafit)". Ali Bin Abi Taalib wanted to ask the prophet on what he would fight for (3ala ma aqatiluhum), but he
remembered: 'don't look back!'. So he walked backwards with his horse all the
way to the Prophet pbuh. so he wouldn't have disobeyed the Prophet pbuh.
