Usama Bin Zayd: Equal punishment
Wednesday, June 13 @ 09:38:41 EDT by admin (7908 reads)
Money vs. IslamNarrated 'Aisha:
The Quraish people became very worried about the Makhzumiya lady who had committed theft. They said, "Nobody can speak (in favor of the lady) to Allah's Apostle and nobody dares do that except Usama who is the favorite of Allah's Apostle. " When Usama spoke to Allah's Apostle about that matter, Allah's Apostle said, "Do you intercede (with me) to violate one of the legal punishment of Allah?" Then he got up and addressed the people, saying..

Tuesday, November 07 @ 03:00:04 EST by admin (5465 reads)
Money vs. IslamIn the times of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) there was a severe famine. All the people of Madinah were suffering due to the shortage of food. A caravan made up of a thousand camels loaded with a large stock of food grains belonging to Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived from Shaam (Syria). Several merchants offered to buy all of it. He asked them what profit they would pay. "Five per cent," they said. He answered that he could get higher profit than that. They began to argue with him, saying that they did not know of any merchant who would offer him more than their quote..

Monday, May 08 @ 07:36:21 EDT by admin (6189 reads)
Money vs. IslamBilal (may Allah be pleased with him) felt great pleasure in devoting himself to Allah and in submission to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet of Allah (Peace be upon him) also had a great regard for him. He would not refuse him any favour. Once during a journey, night fell. Bilal (Allah will be pleased with him) liked that place. He said, "it is if the Prophet of Allah (Peace be upon him) allows us to encamp here." The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) said, ?I am afraid a sound sleep may not let you get up in the small hours of the night.? ..

Abdullah As-Sahmi: Two of the strongest men, to arrest the Prophet
Friday, February 24 @ 19:38:35 EST by Ayman (5288 reads)
Money vs. IslamThe story of Abdullah ibn Hudhada with Khusraw Parvez began in the sixth year of the hijrah when the Prophet decided to send some of his Companions with letters to rulers outside the Arabian peninsula inviting them to Islam.

The Prophet attached great importance to this initiative. These messengers were going to distant lands with whom there was no agreement or treaty. They did not know the languages of these lands nor anything about the ways and disposition of their rulers. They were to invite these rulers to give up their religion and forsake their power and glory and enter the religion of a people who shortly before were almost their subjects. The mission was undoubtedly hazardous..

Uthman bin Madh'un: The other eye longs to attain the same torture
Monday, March 14 @ 22:42:24 EST by Ayman (4133 reads)
Money vs. IslamMuslims had migrated to Abyssinia because of the torture and persecution by Quraish, but always anxiously waited for some news from their homeland. Those stand-bearers of Unity and justice of God (though an insignificant minority in comparison to the swarms of idolaters who were bent upon maintaining statuesque in religion and social system) were confident that everyday their supporters were increasing and the rank of their adversaries was decreasing. They even hoped that soon the curtain of ignorance would be removed from the eyes of the non-believers and the whole tribe of Quraish would embrace Islam, casting away their idols..

Abdullah ibn Jahsh: A House in Paradise
Friday, March 04 @ 14:37:24 EST by marsheee (4962 reads)
Money vs. IslamAbdullah ibn Jahsh became a Muslim before the Prophet entered the House of al-Arqam which became a meeting place, a school and a place of refuge for the early Muslims. He was thus one of the first to accept Islam. When the Prophet gave permission for his Companions to emigrate to Madinah to avoid further persecution from the Quraysh, Abdullah ibn Jahsh was the second to leave, preceded only by Abu Salamah. Emigrating was not a new experience for Abdullah. He and some members of his immediate family had migrated before to Abyssinia. This time, however, his migration was on a far bigger scale. His family and relatives--men, women and children, migrated with him. In fact, his whole clan had become Muslims and accompanied him..

She was known by various names including Rumaysa and Ghumaysa, but these were possibly nicknames. One historian says that her real name was Sahlah but later she was popularly known as Umm Sulaym. Umm Sulaym was first married to Malik Ibn an-Nadr and her son by this marriage was the famous Anas Ibn Malik, one of the great companions of the Prophet (pbuh). Her husband, Malik, left the house one day furious that Rumaysa had embraced the holy religion of Islam and it is reported that he was set upon by an enemy of his and was killed. Saturday, February 14 @ 13:55:59 EST by ayman (2617 reads)
Money vs. Islam When the Prophet gave permission for his followers to migrate to Madinah, Suhayb resolved to go in the company of the Prophet and Abu Bakr. The Quraysh however found out about his intentions and foiled his plans. They placed guards over him to prevent him from leaving and taking with him the wealth, the gold and the silver, which he had acquired through trade. After the departure of the Prophet and Abu Bakr, Suhayb continued to bide his time, waiting for an opportunity to join them. He remained unsuccessful. The eyes of his guards were ever alert and watchful. The only way out was to resort to a stratagem..
